Do we have a group of High School students that can beat Japan's best:
Stage Best Performances
1st Stage(10.0 km)-Kazuma Kubota (Kyushu Gakuin H.S.)- 29:38
2nd Stage (3.0 km) - Koki Maeda (Omuta H.S.) - 8:17
3rd Stage(8.1075 km)-Charles Ndirangu (Kenya/Sera H.S.)- 22:51
4th Stage(8.0875 km)-Kazuma Taira(Toyokawa Kogyo H.S.) - 23:32
5th Stage(3.0 km) -Shoya Okuno (Toyokawa Kogyo H.S.) - 8:54
6th Stage(5.0 km)-Hiram Ngatia(Kenya/Sendai Ikuei H.S.)- 14:23
7th Stage(5.0 km)- Tadashi Isshiki (Sendai Ikuei H.S.) - 14:13
Possibly, but I wouldn't be so sure... these would seem very realistic to me, based on FLN/NXN results only:
10k - Cheserek ~29:15
3k - Ryan/Diaz/Armstrong ~8:19
8.1k - Futsum ~23:20
8.1k - Vertiz ~23:55
3k - Ryan/Diaz/Armstrong ~8:19
5k - Nowak ~14:24
5k - Yorks ~14:27
... which would be 2:01:48 vs. 2:01:59 in Japan's favor, but I'm sure some of these guys would be better at the other distances than their 5k times would indicate (maybe some will drop off less than expected over the extra 3-5k, and some would be better at 3k than 5k, etc.)... none of that was factored in above.
