I think the US would have been 1-2 at Worlds if she didn't fall. It could happen in London- but- that's a long way off and injuries are too common in running.
She can medal. In general, she's smart racer (Daegu excepted. The event isn't as strong as it once was, Jamal's vulnerable, obviously.
Interesting how the pronunciation is changing. The original pronunciation of her name is u-che-nee meaning "learned" or "wise".
If there is such a thing as karma then this girl deserves to win a medal.
I believe she has the talent, speed and race savvy to do it but it won't be easy- Langat and Jamal will probably be back to their best just in time for London plus theres always the prospect of some currently unknown African or Eastern European spoiling the party.
Also nice biofile from January edition of Track&Field News:

I know someone who was friends with her in college and pronounced it YOU-sin-ee
I agree. She could be the Asbel Kiprop of the women's 1500m ("slow" PR, but Olympic gold winner).I'm really rooting for her, especially after reading this: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/tim_layden/08/31/Morgan-Uceny-track-and-field-worlds/index.html.Even though, she went to an ivy, as far as being a runner is concerned, I think she's pretty damn blue collar.

Did anyone see the comments on the article before they were removed?
Some Simpson fans gatting bitchy over Uceny being described as the 'best 1500m runner in the world'. Pathetic
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
