Anybody else notice that FL finalist Hannah Oneda raced in Vibrams? Is she the first high level runner at any level to do this? wonder if her college coach will make her change?

from the picture, she's still heel striking with the vibrams.
put some spikes on this girl, she would be running even FASTER! seriously though...
That's the way it goes on this site, unfortunately. Just look at that thread calling that Hadley fellow a child abuser for coaching his daughter!

Hey if the Vibrams work for her then that's great.
Vibrams suck for racing. They have minimal traction and do not perform very well under slippery conditions. Seriously, I've fallen on my face running up a slightly muddy hill because the pieces of crap can't dig in at all. The same goes for wet grass. Spikes are better under all conditions; no risk of foot bruising, getting injured from competitors spikes, ect.

No, that Australian guy Summers just ran ~28:30 and beat Mottram on Saturday while wearing Vibrams and also went under 29 for a road 10k in November.
Actually she looks healthy and strong.
Go Hannah! Way to go coach!
Do I get 10/10?
You didn't think I was serious about either comment, did you?
Why is she racing in those?
That one dude coaching his Daugherty is a child abuser.
She is adorable. If I were a teenager again, I'd absolutely have a crush on her. And her legs are perfect.
I don't think he was calling her fat. It needs to be remembered that in order to be as fast as you can, you need to be as slim as you can. She's a beautiful girl who is by no means fat or overweight, but could trim down if she wanted to gain some time.
As long as she is happy doing what she is doing, motivated by heartfelt values, being who she is, and is sorrounded by people who care for her instead of caring for her looks, she will evolve splendidly and accordingly.
Running competitively is one of her Life's activities.
Go Hannah, Way to Go Coach.
That singlet she's wearing is the bomb. I want one. "Winters Mill"

I coach a kid who wears five fingers. He's fairly talented...low 17's. Believe me, I've tried to get him to wear spikes, but he is insistent. Kind of an oddball, overly sensitive type, so whatever keeps him happy and confident!
She's cute, but her form is atrocious. Go to 2:30 of this video for her kick. If she stopped twisting, and got one iota of knee lift, God only knows how many more places she would have gained at Footlocker.

Or, an even quicker way to save some time is to run a freakin' tangent. It is hilarious to see the first couple girls (at the 2:30 mark in your video) following that white line on the ground that is in the shape of a dramatic "S".
If I was the person marking the course, I would be tempted to see how exaggerated I could make it before runners stopped blindly following it.
For some reason she has a ton of youtube videos!
