They have adjusted the course because it was 225 meters short of 10k at the west region meet.

Midwaste,
Glad to have you chime in as the resident letsrun Chico supporter.
Glad to oblige.
Ultimately trying to predict what will happen is an exercise in futility. There are too many variables that aren't or can't be accounted for. That being said, I don't mind indulging in the foolishness...
Mines guys had a 40ish sec. 1-5 spread at regionals. Chico guys had ~ 60 sec 1-5 spread. We could reasonably theorize based on previous results (nationals last year) that Chico's #1 will be 10-20 sec. ahead of Mines #1, thus negating the big difference in that 1-5 spread. Furthermore, Chico's #5 at regionals this year was 45 sec. back of their #1 at nats. last year.
Ultimately what matters is who shows up and brings the 'A' game on race day. But if you want to be academic about it it's more reasonable to predict that it will be a tight battle as opposed to a blowout of 100 pt. proportions!
But picking a tight battle wouldn't stir the pot so much and this is letsrun after all. We're only hours away now from finding out the TRUTH!
well... I did say that your prediction was total crap! That's about as contentious as I can be at this point. Wish I was there. This will be only the 2nd nats. race I've missed in the last 12 years :(
LIVE STREAMING???!?!?! ANYONE?
unless u were there it was not 225m short. It was 125m long
Go to ncaa.com - just was watching diii - pretty poor job covering I must say. Hope dii is better coverage!
Women's race starts at 2pm Eastern Time/11:00 Pacific Time
Men's race starts at 3pm Eastern Time/Noon Pacific Time
You can watch it here:
We've got it hooked up to an HDTV for all the Mines guys who didn't make the trip, but it's probably going to look like crap! I haven't been to as many as you Midwaste, however, this is the first time I've missed nats when a Mines team has qualified and it's only the second time since Raleigh, NC that I haven't been there.

There are two neely spence's in the results and it appears there may be doubles of some Augustana girls as well. The picture of the results is very hazy. I'm going to go out on a limb and bet Western took it.
Looks like a western girl got doubled up too. Adams crammed the front spots, if some of the duplicates were really scored twice maybe they won?
