No way can you compare Cruz to Buckner. Freese smoked that ball the opposite way. It was a good hit. Credit Freese.

Nelson Cruz misread the ball.
"In 1990, Andre Dawson was paid $2.1 million by the Chicago Cubs (#13 highest paid in the MLB) and that was 70 times the median household income in that year of $29,943. By 2010, Manny Ramirez (13th highest-paid player this year) is making $18,695,000 for the LA Dodgers, and that’s 370 times the estimated median household income this year of $50,500."
...This article pretty much sums up the reason I cannot enjoy a single minute of any MLB game anymore. With our economy in its current state, watching an MLB game makes me feel like what a fat person must feel like watching the Biggest Loser as they eat a Big Mac with a large vanilla shake.

Rangers lose on the biggest stage two years in a row. Two more and they will be the Buffalo Bills of baseball.
Still pretty impressive to win two straight AL pennants, though. Maybe next year Rangers, maybe next year.
The playoffs are mostly luck. It's much more impressive to be the best team through 162 games like the Yankees in the AL and the Phillies in the NL. But nobody remembers regular season records.

You are retarded. Shut up and go back to what you are good at...post a thread detailing that, please. we are waiting...
Good for you. It is your choice whether you care to watch a MLB game or not. Personally, I really don't care. Does not affect me one bit, part of reason why I like to root for a team that has a lower payroll or is the underdog.
Interesting, you point out the players that make the most money and yet they come from cities that have the most debt? What about your overpaid movie star heroes? I believe some of them get paid ALOT more than some athletes.
Don't cry me a river...
I still don't get why people don't understand that no other nation has a league as talented as the Major League. If you play baseball anywhere in the world, you want to win a world series, no other title matters more.
