Jog fest? HAHAHAHAHA!!! They were sub 24 for 8k! I know the course isn't killer, but to call that a jog fest means you must not understand the sport that well!

The men's and women's courses are short. Everyone knows this. The course, measured on the path the runners take, is about 150-200m short. Common knowledge. I have wheeled it myself four times in the last few years.

You've wheeled it 4 times in a few years and don't know how much short it is? Please explain.

Unbelievable. Really, truly unbelievable.
So, Chad Hall is the real deal, ready to put a scare into Colby Lowe, Girma Mecheso, and the rest of the Cowboys?
Does the fact that Wisco's Collins, Ahmed, Krause and Darling all finished within 1 second of each other suggest (a) they were racing all out or (b) they were out for a nice controlled tempo run to you?
And you call yourself a Ducks Fan? Your complete lack of understanding of the Duck's home course, their invitational and the sport of XC makes you an embarrassment to true Duck fans everywhere. Please make the effort to learn about the sport or else get a new handle. Thanks.
It is different every year based on how they lay it out. Have you ever been to the same meet more than one year? It is not always exact unless you are talking about a permanent course.

So the course is changed all the time, therefore 150-200m short doesn't mean anything. Therefore the course could be 600m-1200m short. Since it's changed all the time. Thank you for your expert opinion.
Here is a video of the race

5 Wisconsin guys go straight to the front and run together the whole race. It is obvious that this race was just a tempo effort for them, and were not concerned about their individual place. Their effort is most evident when it's compared to Parker Stinson at the finish line. Stinson has obvious signs of complete fatigue from a really hard race, while the Wisconsin guys finish nonchalantly and just jog pass the camera.
Wisconsin is very good this year, but it's tough to tell how good from this race that served as a workout for them.
Your logic is befuddled. If the 'course changes every year' how can 'everybody know its short'? could they have finally got the right distance perhaps? Maybe they made it too long or shorter yet- you assuming tard.
Ive run this course(which it doesnt change), it is not short(within 25m- more accurate than you'd think), just super fast, its on a FLAT golf course with most of the race on the fairways - ie really short grass
how are the times so much faster this year?
if what you say is true...why wouldnt the other wisconsin guys have run with fellow teammate reed connor? they werent with reed because they couldnt change gears at the end. This will be proven when stinson rolls on those four 2 weeks from now and at NCAA
It is not exactly the same course every year. And anyone who has run that course runs so fast that they refuse to believe that it is short. Fact of the matter is that it is short. 5000m or 8000m is NEVER faster on the grass than it is on the track. The only time it is, is if it is short. I've been coaching 30 years and I have coached over two dozen All-Americans. I was an All-American myself back in the hey day (early 70s). I know this sport and I'm telling you, 100%, that course is not accurate.
They didn't even run the Dellinger Meet at this course last year. The race was held at Alton Baker Park last year, so the guy who says he wheeled it last year is a flake.

You really know what you are talking about don't you. Do you really think that Reed Connor, their 5th man, is stronger than 13:34/28:xx Ahmed, Maverick Darling, etc? Look at races that they run 'early season'. In fact look who was the first Wisconsin guy last time at Dellinger. Of course, Reed did use a kick to take the Big Ten 5000 last spring, but he is not the number 1 guy on the team.
