Oregon got STOMPED! Oh and I forgot that Chad Hall still ran.
F**k yeah Levins. Canada represent.
anyone know if the course was short? looks a little fast. that springfield course isn't very fast isn't it?
So this info is available to a smart phone while race is in progress? Makes counting points much easier!
five guys within five seconds of each other for Wisconsin. nice start! they will be tough to beat at nationals, except by ok st, if those guys continue to stick together. oregon was not quite as bad as it seems, since the ducks had a number of unattached runners in the top twenty, while obviously not running other quality runners like lv.
Oregon did not run Luke Pusdedra, Lukas V or Mac Fleet--arguably their top three. Word is they are being saved for four races (Wisconsin, Pac 12's, Regionals, Nationals) due to the short season and care to not overrace, but to peak them for Nationals. Wisconsin looked good, had an easy time of it. The course was fast today.
And check out the results from the true freshman! Lanana is thrilled because Noelle and Elkaim running unattached broke up Wisconsin's top 7 and Wisconsin is legit. That was Noelle's 4th xc race EVER! Pickering made a GREAT showing as well. Add Luke and Lucas and suit up Noelle and they are looking at their 5th man in 14th. They can't beat Wisconsin and Lanana Know's it, so he is going to be thrilled with the other things he sees.
How good will the Ducks be in a year or two? Stinson, Verzbicas, Shrader, Noelle, Pickering, Elkaim?
Isn't it interesting that Chad Hall returned to Oregon for this race and did so well. He nearly pulled it off too! He left there as a freshman not on good terms as some had suggested and it really was great that he came back and gave it his best shot. I thought though that his eligibility was up this year but I guess not? If he can keep his training going this time, he might actually make it into the top 10?

Except that they broke up the 7 and 8 guys, not the 6 and 7 guys. Brice has been running ahead of Shields and ahead of Brill and Schwaderer by about 20-30 seconds.
You make good points. Wisconsin is very good this year, while Oregon is re-loading with a powerful freshman class. You can add Mac Fleet and Elias Gedyon to the group that you just listed. That gives them eight very talented runners next year.
its frightening how easy that looked for Wisconsin if i was ok state id be very afraid.
Top 5 in 5 second window!!! I think OK State should certainly take notice. Oklahoma was terrific at Paul Short as well but not anywhere near as impressive as Wisconsin!

You're kidding, right? Finishing 5 right around where Chad Hall finished is not exactly awe inspiring.
No disrespect to Wisco because they are a really strong squad. But this "race" was obviously more of a jog-fest for them and demonstrates nothing whatsoever.
OK State afraid based on these results? You must not understand this sport.
