Words mean things. No one with any knowledge of real-world foot biomechanics would ever discuss midfoot striking. So why would anyone obsessing over meaningless distinctions between heel strike and forefoot strike adopt a non-sensical vocabulary to discuss it even further? To be taken seriously in an argument, one should become informed on the actual anatomy, biomechanics and semantics. Just an opinion from "almost a doctor". By the way, it doesn't matter anyway. Fast is fast, slow is slow, and whoever reaches the line first still wins, on his heels or not.
Midfoot= cuboid, 3 cuneiforms, bases of the metatarsals which never touch the ground barring severe deformity. Your "midfoot" is equal weightbearing on the calcaneus and the metatarsal heads.
There are more parts to a foot than bones, "almost doctor". Look at the soft tissue investment of the lateral foot, which definitely contacts the ground despite having little bony structure save the base of the fifth metatarsal
