Did anyone else notice how Lemaitre went from a 20.17 to a 19.80? Incredible!
He ran 20.28 in Stockholm in -2.8s, rain and 12 degrees celsius.

Hurricane Irene blew out the Universal Sports computer feed, as the runners lined up for 200 men's final.
"WHERE IS SPRINT GEEZER NOW!? Dude said Bolt wouldn't dip below 20-seconds. Looking dumb, now, Sprint Geezer."
Where the hell did I say that?
Oh that's right, I didn't.
In fact, on the other thread, I explicitly said I thought he would win in 19.6x
Who's looking dumb now, "Sabotage"?
However, I never dreamt that Bolt would go 19.42--never, never, never. How the hell did he recover so quickly from his mid-season malaise? He showed some promise in his 19.86 (I think) when he was allegedly sick, but 19.42? Who saw that coming?
Nobody. Even the most optimistic on this board called it in 19.5x (except for the ever-present WR fanboys).
Of course, all this does is make us wonder how fast he would have run the 100m. At this point, I don't think 9.68 or 9.69 was out of the question.
So, either he's on some fast-acting drugs to produce this miracle recovery, or he is the fastest mofo to ever walk the face of the earth.
Fastest clean of all-time in the modern era new list:
1) Bolt
2) Bailey
3) Lewis
4) Fredericks
5) Boldon
6) Surin
Powell and Blake are still questionable for me, although I'm sold on Bolt. No matter what has happened in the past, 19.42 is unbelievable. I completely dismiss MJ, as I do Mo Greene.
Bolt. Holy crap.
Oops, 19.40
Whatever.
The. Best. Ever!
That was massively impressive from all of the top 3. I had completely forgotten that Dix had previously run a 19.69, but that 19.7 is still a phenomenal performance. And, of course, Lemaitre's run was beyond ridiculous.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing......he was so sure of himself.
Fastest guy his height and weight in the world.
Hopefully he and his coach can sit down and get that thing out of their head about him having the same top end as Bolt.
Bolt, Gay and Lemaitre are faster top end than him.
But none of that matters anyway if you are 2 yards down at 60. It just guarantees you'll lose by 2 yards.
He should lose 10 pounds and find a way to accelerate a little better. He's a knee lifter and doesn't get away like a bowling ball should.
But then his coach could not find the time to get on the bus to go to the semis in 1972.
