Many documents were seized, long after the fact, so I dont know why any records havent been revoked, but probably because they cant pinpoint the year in which they cheated in conjunction with their record. Which I think is absurd. If an athlete is found to have cheated the profession, they should have all records of theirs revoked. They have committed a crime, and therefore have given up all rights to those fraudulent accomplishments. In any other profession they would be fired, sued, and charged with fraud. Oh and I'm sure they would never be hired again in that company or profession. But no, for some reason when athletes cheat it isnt treated the same way, when it is a crime.
When you cheat, you lose any rights you had. You have no right to any of those accomplishments, as they were attained illegally. That is how it should be treated.
Fortunately for Caster her situation is likely not a drug issue, but a physical abnormality which makes her not a full woman. But none the less, she should not be allowed to compete with fully fledged women. She can go do anything else, but in a job where raw physical attributes are the basis between male competition and female competition, there must be a line to distinguish that that makes sense.
Letting Caster compete with women makes no sense. Sorry to hemaphrodites or anyone else with similar conditions, but life isnt always fair and there will be things you wont be allowed to participate in. Just like I know I wont ever be able to participate in something where I dont qualify.

The IAAF conducted thorough investigations last year regarding Semenya, and it was determined that she did have internal testes, and her testosterone levels were exponentially higher than that of the average woman. However, the IAAF continues to allow her to compete.
I would be shocked if Semenya didn't undergo some sort of treatment, or isn't practicing some sort of hormone therapy so that her testosterone levels are neutralized. I didn't hear all of you clueless f*cks complaining about her and calling her a man while she was running 2:06s and losing races this past year.
A ton of people dogger Caster's performances this year as charades. Stating it looked like she was purposely throwing races and finishing second or further back to not raise the ire of too many people. It's not like we were looking the other way because she wasn't winning. You're way off base on that accusation.
I really noticed that also. She was picking up big appearance fees. I think she has to win the world champs to get these fees next year.
The same reason why FLOJO's records still stand
Where is the video of the race, and of the supposed muscle flexing, etc.? All I see on the home page is a short non-interview.

The world record for the 800m is 1:53.28, so Caster's times are within the realm of possibility for a woman. The other women need to step up and beat the world record, it has been around for too long.
Really dumb. That record was made before drug testing. A world class time in the women's 400 is 50 seconds. So you're saying someone should run a 50 followed by a 52? You get stupid post of the year.
Just as a comparison, 45 flat is world class for men. So we should see a male world record of about 1:32 or 1:33?
Those men need to step up! 1:41 is crazy slow.
Why are people paying to see a hermaphrodite dominate a women's race? I personally cannot stand to think about the whole balls in vagina thing. Like why are you out there competing with beautiful women like Alysia Montano and Jordan Hasay when you could be picking rice or something?
In general, the world records for women in track and field are ridiculous and most won't be approached for a long time. The most reachable ones are some of the Chinese women's middle and long distance records.
Bob Kersey's steroid women of the late 80's, the Russian and Czech women of the early 80s, and the Chinese women of the late 90s have put most of the female records out of reach.
The male records are within reach.
Not sure about your math... I'm thinking something like 55 and 58 seconds = 1:53. Well, Pamela Jelimo ran a 1:54.01 in 2008 so my point is still valid.
Plus that's just more reason to root for her. Maybe she can break the record and it will no longer be a drug tainted record.
I don't know if a man could run 1:32 in the 800 even if he was juiced up like crazy.

Well, I guess it will take the female version of Bolt to erase those records. Bolt is a once in a generation guy, I think he has put the 100/200 record out of reach for anyone but possibly himself for a long time to come.
Do you think CS has sex the night before a race?

I think Vessey, and all the females in the race should say that they are not going to race. The officials will have to let Caster run around the track by herself. This problem would then be over quickly.
The only problem with this plan is that Caster doesn't deserve to be embarrassed.
At the same time, Caster and her supporters should realize that this is not right and shouldn't be using this situation to their financial advantage.
Think of it. She ran 1:55 in Berlin with male testosterone levels which is not very good. If she is back to normal, why is she in the final again?
Is it that testosterone and testicles actually don't help. If that is the case, get rid of the female races. (last sentence was sarcastic).

Yes, this is offensive. Caster is different, but still female for competition purposes.
ummm no she is not female for competitive purposes. She is female for social purposes, so she can function in society as one or the other, male or female. But for track & field, athletic competition, she should not be allowed to compete as a female. Especially at the international level where this is about people's careers, and it is a job, etc.
She is as much male as she is female, so NO she is not female for competition purposes. As has been discussed before, there is no "right to compete". Caster can do almost anything else, but she had to pick one sport in particular that is about raw physical performance, and the line must be drawn to separate males and females properly so as to avoid these types of travesties.
Keeping her in this sport is doing nothing but turning people off to it, and won't be resolved until either the IAAF gets some balls, or the women in the 800 boycott racing against Caster. Which they should, that would end this charade quickly.
Good post.

The reason we have male and female sports is that the hormonal differences don't allow women to be competitive.
Why even let women compete? Most sports they play are just so damn boring. If the females want to compete, let them compete against the males. Just one open competition. You know, like there is only one football team, or how a woman can play in a PGA event.
Also, in the pure athletic events (track and field, swimming, etc) everyone should compete naked (just as God made them), that way no one gets an unfair advantage. (See Rupp's mask, or the swimming body suit, or Pitorious' legs.)
Also, lanes all of the way, or individual time trials, for all track events. I'm tired of the Mergas and Budds pushing our boys and girls off the track.
Unfortunately I haven't figured out what to do about performance enhancing drugs yet. Maybe we should stop paying athletes so much money that they are compelled to cheat.
Ewwww, it's a man baby!
All she wants to do is compete. She has a special talent that helps her run, but it is just like some people are more genetically gifted runners. That is the way she was born and since it is natural and not drugs, she should compete. The IAAF agrees, so it must be true.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
