Not sure I would phrase it the same way, but you do have to be amused that so many people on this thread are so unable to recover from the event that they are quitting, rather than getting up and continuing as they preach. Me, I say innocent until information suggests something else. I am staying a fan of track, and even so far of Solinsky and Rupp and great 5000m running. Ever since seeing the Budd/Slaney collision live I wince every time a pack tightens in a fast or important race.
That said, a woman went down in an 800 recently and finished relatively close to the pack. Will have to look up her name. The plus side is worth noticing more. I was in awe of her comeback. In an 800.
