i think it comes down to what ur running on... if you are on a track, definetaly need spikes. cross country course, probably need spikes depending on what the course is like. racing flats for road running and some cross courses.
Spikes are definitely good in wet conditions. Nice blog, keep up the good work!
I can now say, nice post Miloxc. I agree on that flats should be worn for longer distances.
I Always stick with spikes for xc and track.
This was about the most worthless thing I have ever read. Also it is painfully obvious, for whatever reason, you are responding to your own post.
Please stop spamming your hipsteresque blog.
Fyi a lot of people ask the question "spikes or flats" i have seen threads on it on about every running forum. Secondly i find no reason why i would reply to my own thread it just seems stupid. You clearly are a troubled person and please if you for whatever reason want to bring your anger to my threads than just don't. This is the meanest forum I've been on. On runnersworld i got all positive responses but i guess letsrun people are haters (not all but i've had to deal with a lot).
You didn't learn anything from the advice you were given.
In this post about spikes vs. flats you made some flat out incorrect statements.
Yes, lots of letsrun posters can seem like haters, but that is not what I was/am trying to be. If nothing else, your statement shows that you didn't "research your audience" before posting here.
Please enlighten me to these "spikes vs flats" threads, and letsrun is a place where actual runners (or people who already know this stuff) post.
Okay, this i did not research that much because it is common knowledge i knew. I did research "top 5 running stores" which is another post i added. Okay yes this was meant for beginners but not all people on letsrun are pros. As for the threads,

Letsrun blocked me form putting more links but you get the idea. and again i didn't research this because i'm just giving the basics and i did research top 5 running stores so check that out if you want to see a "researched" post.
If you are going to cite answers.yahoo as some of your research, just stop now.
The information in your post is clearly comparing track spikes vs. road racing flats. YOU COMPLETELY IGNORED CROSS COUNTRY SPIKES AND ROAD RACING FLATS! Neither of which have a plastic plate that affects traction.
The biggest problem still is that you are trying to give way too much information, in way too small a space, with way too much authority - on things that you don't have nearly enough experience about.
Just write about you and your running - don't try to solve the running world's problems based on a couple of years of experience.
yahoo answers was not a source. I was showing you that someone had interest in spikes vs flats. Jeez, alright this post wasn't the best. Alright, its a guide that a beginner would use. A beginner also doesn't need spikes for xc because their not as effective as they are in track. I'll prob rewrite but i'm hittin the track now so bye.
