We don't know what Wheating is doing yet. He's most likely doubling however he's not a shoe-in in either event. The 800 team is about as open as the 1500 team. For the 1500, Webb not running, Lagat not running, and Manzano and Lomong running poorly lately really opens it up. If Wheating is too tired from the rounds of the 800 and 1500, he could jeopardize his spot as well. Torrence, Brown, Centro, and Ulrey have been running well lately. It's too bad our only real medal threat is Wheating. I think Torrence can run VERY fast this season but I think him winning a medal is a stretch. It's very depressing to think about Alan Webb's multiple setbacks. He's one of my favorite runners. To anybody still reading this long, pointless post, I'm drunk as **** right now. I hope Teg mixes it up. Teg > Solinsky. K peace.
What a stupid post. When was the last time Wheating finished worse than 3rd in any Major USA/domestic race??
He's already proven he can run rounds and finals.
No one is ever a "shoe in," ergo, stupid post.
Symmonds and Wheating are favorites.
They have proven they can shine on the big stage domestically.
