Can we all just admit that we are rooting for the team with the white superstar and against the team with the black superstars?
That racism trumps even nationalism?
Or are we still in denial here in letsrun?

for everyone saying the mavs won in spite of the refs, get real. yes the refs made some bad calls in miami's favor. they also made some really bad calls in dallas's favor, most just happened to be in the first half, when no one thinks it matters/no one is watching the game yet. still, when a game is decided by 2 points, all those crappy calls leading to free throws matter. it all evens out by the end of the game. all that aside, that comeback was amazing! i love how dallas never quits, even when the momentum is going completely the other way.
I turned off the TV when Lebron and D Wade did thier little intimate celebration with about 7 min to go. I think the Heat were up by 13 at that point. I will never forgive myself.
I had the Heat in 6, but Im pulling for Dallas.
I think Barrea befuddles the Heat with his penetration. Dallas should continue to use him against Bibby.
Dalls Bigs (Haywood, Chandler) seem to have trouble finishing atthe basket. I dont know how many times Dirk gave them perfect passes at the rim and they couldnt put it in. Dirk would have had like 8 assists last nit if they could finish better.
It proves the point, a black man would rather look good and lose rather than look bad and win.
If you have watched or played hoops for a long time, you could see this unraveling for the Heat, when it got to 9.
Every single possession, save the embarrassing 3 after Terry lost his guy, was completely dis organized.
One thing that seems to un do the Heat and I have seen this before,in other games is when they switch double teams quickly from Lebron to Wade, it un nerves them for good reason and their third option is not a creator. Key possesion, was one that went off Bosh's leg.
There was also what I thought was a phantom call that got the Heat to the foul line for two shots in the beginning of Mavs run, thought it was over then.
Dirk had a very average shooting game, but came up huge at the end.

I am so sick of the crap you push, you are out of your mind.
I recall 1989 when everyone I knew hated Bill Laimbeer and rooted like hell for Magic, Kareem and the Lakers. How does your turbo liberal mind spin that?
This has little to do with what you're thinking. If LeBron leaves Cleveland in a dignified manner, and maybe a tear in his eye, this goes down a lot differently. Instead, he makes a public ass out of himself, places a "!" after the word selfish ... and bought all this vitriol on himself.
Damn man, let go of all your self loathing. In part, the racism that does exist in this country is helped along by guys who think like you.
Ouch. I seem to have struck a nerve. It seems we have out answer. Denial reigns.

Yeah, if you cheer against the guy who bailed on his hometown and used an hour-long national TV special to announce that he was "taking his talents to South Beach" while using charity kids to deflect potential criticism then you are obviously a total racist. You probably are cheering for the Mavs and their German superstar because you are a secret Nazi or something.

This is only the 2nd time in my life that I have ever cheered for a Dallas area team (the TCU Football team in the Rose Bowl being the 1st)
Someone with the name 666 was cheering for a Christian college?

For all you Lebron haters, too bad that's what free agents do. I just wish he went to Philly.
I don't think too many people care simply that he moved. What people care about is that he made a big deal about it with smoke and lights and loud music and a special on ESPN. It wasn't enough that he left his hometown where he was a symbol, it's that he did it with a big F-U on his way out. He's a professional athlete, that's what they do, but it turns out he's also an asshole, and that's why people have a problem with him.
And, on a personal note, I think he does get a lot of calls going his way, and on top of that he whines like a baby when a call doesn't go his way.

I'm not sure how the hell it happened but we've got ourselves a series!!!!
Exciting for now, but USUALLY when a team in a series like this has to have a remarkable run at the end of the game to barely win, it means they had a little luck and an anomaly on their side and that the other team will dominate the rest of the series. I think that happens. Heat will win.
I'm from Arlington, so I'm a big supporter of all of the DFW teams. I love the Rangers more than anything and I do love the Mavs.. Last night was a game where I flipped the channel cause I was getting pissed, flipped back over and they were down by 6 and watched that amazing run.
With that said... I love the Mavs but I don't trust them. Ever since '06 why should I. The Heat are a better star power where the Mavs are a better all around team. I picked Portland to win in 6, Lakers to win in 6, and OKC to win in 6. I of course picked the Heat to win 6. I just hope that I'm wrong again.
I would love a reason to trust the Mavs again. Funny part is where I go to school one of my room mates is from LA, the other from Miami. So you can imagaine how much crap we talk to one another. After the "decision" last summer I told my room mate that it would be a Heat/Mavs final but with my Luck the Heat will kick there ass again.
I'm a real fan, I actually understand the sport and what is supposed to happen. Doesn't mean I can't still hope.

Dude, just go away. Your act is tired.

The best part was Wade holding his release for about 10 seconds in front of the Dallas bench when they were up 10+, then a half hour later he's begging for a bail out call on a 30-foot desperation three.
Karma!
Because Moe already told you so. http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?board=1&id=4061327&thread=4061327
I think it's funny that people get so upset when miami celebrates a dunk or big shot. It's the NBA, it happens all the time. Nobody seems to notice when Jason Terry or Deshawn Stevenson act like idiots any time they sink a 3.
Moe's T, Jason Terry over-rated; Shawn Marion terribly under-rated.
Jason Terry gonna need to step up BIGTIME for the Mavs to win this series. Shawn Marion is who's keeping the Mavs competitive.
Just saw this. I turned the TV off after Wade's 3 that put the Heat up by 15. I was pissed because I thought the series was over and the Mavs just couldn't compete but now I'm pissed because I missed what will to down as a legendary comeback!
Like 666 - this too is my first time actually hoping that a Dallas team will win something.
Dallas knows a thing or two from the Blazers regarding comebacks - in the first round; Portland came back from 23 down with 1 minute left in the third, to win at home.
I'm just hoping now that Dallas wins in 5 - so the Blazers can at least say that they beat Dallas more than anyone else in the playoffs.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
