I hope I don’t jinx myself by posting a week of nearly 23 actual running miles (no fluff). It’s been quite awhile since I accomplished that much weekly volume. There were occasional echoes of the hammy and groin niggles that bothered me before, but they did not affect anything other than modifying my post-run exercise routine and eliminating any “speed” from my runs. This week I hope to get back to those missing components.
I remain thankful that my exercise routine has not been greatly impacted by this virus. I have had little problem staying the recommended 6’ away from those I encounter on my runs. I am sure that most of you have been unselfishly adhering to your local guidelines. Thank you! As our country re-opens, I remind you that this is not over yet. We all have things we would like to do (church, haircut, gym, etc.), but it is important that we follow the guidelines provided by those who know a lot more about this than we do. Please remain diligent and don’t be afraid to call out those selfish covidiots who think these rules don’t apply to them. Lives are at stake!
