Still alive and kickin' here. Happy to report I've been 100% healthy and seemingly 100% fit. I'm about 2-1/2 months into my usual 3-4 month winter re-buildup. Took a little down time after my disappointing run at Club XC then got right back into it. This year I've been between 50-57 mpw, haven't missed a weekly long run (10-12) & I've nailed my weekly speed workouts. I take a mandatory day off once every three weeks. For comparison, I'm running a lot of the same workouts I did last year around this time. The times have been very close or just a tad faster than last year. Long runs progress into the low 7's, My speedwork at this time of the year is done at my current Threshold pace of 6:20-25 pace. So nothing too crazy but things are looking pretty good so far! I probably won't race until the end of April. Then I've plans for a 5k, 5k, HM, 5k, 5k the next 7 weeks into June.
