I'm looking at the results as passed out at VCP this afternoon...
Actually Lowell took 1-4,7,8,13 not 5 of top 6. But they could have easily gone 1-6. Entering the cow path the last time around they were sitting 1-6 and running easy. I cannot wait to see how they compete in Ashland. Other than New England's they really have not been tested this fall. They may not have anyone right up front in Ashland, but I think they have the ability to pack in on the 2-6 positions in decent places.
Finish order for Lowell...

Bentley really ran well today to take that 2nd spot. They had 2 seniors and 3 juniors racing, their experience picked up the pieces of Stonehill. Stonehill has a young team, I look for them to improve a great deal in the next few years.
The big question for Bentley now has to be can they beat anyone in Ashland.
No huge challenges for the Individual qualifiers in the region. Fraoli of Stonehill made a good move on the hills just before you cross the bridge to the backhills to separate himself from a big pack and get where he needed. He would have been 8th today if Lowell had raced the whole way (that's not a putdown of Lowell at all, they ran very smart and showed just enough to lock it up early). Malay of Southern CT seemed to emerge from a pack of Bentley, SCSU and Merrimack runners after the backhills.
Perfect day for an XC race down there.
