over the summer my teammates and i would meet at the COLLEGE track on our college campus for an informal "practice" during the week. after the runs, we would sit in lanes 6, 7, and 8 and stretch, do drills, core, snack, etc for a half hour or so. not taking up lanes 1 2 or 3. that would be rude to people walking on the track.
so what is it with the (generally older) people who get angry when you're using LANE 7 to stretch on a yoga mat? there were quite a few people who would get so mad at us sitting on the (college's) track stretching that they would literally walk over us to stay inside the lines of lane 7 and be very rude about it. when we stated that the track was actually the property of a private university, they continued walking muttering that "[their] tax dollars pay for these facilities..." It wasn't during an official practice so we didn't have any authority to ask them to leave or anything like that. But really... would you go to hayward field during the off season and tell centro to "stretch somewhere else, arse hole"?
anyone else run into this problem ever?
