Saturday's workout was a rough one, it was all supposed to be goal 5k pace (4:48/mile) or under...the mile was the most difficult, but I held back enough so I could finish the workout. I did this workout really early in the morning, so it was dark the entire time. I think I finally woke up after the first 800, lol. In my only 5k left this "season", I figure my chances at a sub-15 5k are marginal...at best. The main goal for the Corporate 5k (11 days away) is to win...not to break 15k. I just don't think it's in the cards this year. Number one, I only put myself in one track meet and if I was truly serious about breaking 15...I would've done more track meets, and number 2 I just don't think the competition will be there for my next race.
Next week I'm down in South FL for work, and I'm planning on a day off sometime...simply because I haven't had one in over a month.
Our Boston crowd is coming into the taper, hope everyone is feeling fit and healthy!
