I posted a message earlier about training for the Marines. I've been running now for about 2 weeks and notice after a couple of days of 3 or 3.5 mile runs my right foot feels like it's about to split in half, but feels better when i put some shoes on with decent support or i rest it for a day. Is this a common problem? Does it have something to do with my form? Anyone have any tips on form? I try to do the chest out, head high, not too much arm swing and not too much kick back thing. Should I be rolling the foot with each step or going more on the balls of my feet? Any tips you have to help me shave 3 minutes off my 3 mile run in the next 2 or 3 weeks would be great. Don't think it should be that hard since I am just starting out running and just "Getting in the groove". Thanks for your help.
