Is it a good thing to poop 10 minutes after every meal?
What should I be eating to stop from pooping so soon?
I feel like I am not getting all the nutrients from the foods I eat. They just seem to poop out of my system really fast.

you suck at life
see a doctor. you have irritable bowel syndrome. god help you.
I have a buddy who only goes once per week and think we have the problem for going 2 times per day. How long is to long and how often per day?
I also heard that if you are eating right they float and a bad diet means they sink, any ideas on this. It seems like the higher the fat the more it would float. Help!
always take one right before a workout (only run once a day). also take about 3 dumps in succession before a race. other than that I pay my respects to the minty-fresh porcelain bowl about one in three days (average of 1.4 poops/day)
When you go right after you eat, that's not the food you just ate, it's the food that you probably ate over a day ago. Eating just starts the process up of getting your system moving and making room for the food you just ate. It takes your body something like 6 hours to fully digest meat and 3 hours for other foods. In conclusion, don't worry that all of your nutrients are going in one end and out the other, your body takes what it needs.
i feel your pain, i poop 10 min. after lunch every day!! i always poop 1 or 2 times before lunch, and then after lunch comes around, I have diahrea like 2 or 3 times, then i got to practice, so don't worry I poop like 4 to 5 times a day. it is normal. but most non-runners poop every other day. but then again, we eat alot more too!! poop is cool.
Set up an appointment with your physician, you have a serious problem. That's right, the problem is that you have an optimally functioning excretory system in a country that is constipated, meaning you are more efficient than most people around you and therefore are carrying more than your fair share of societies burden on your back! When you meet up with your doctor give them a week long diary of your running schedule, dietary habits and resulting fecal output.
Having a bowel movement within an hour of eating is what the body was designed to do, after every major meal. People that are eating enough and are healthy often have 2-3+ bowel movements a day. The majority of America is crapping once every other day at best. I worked with a lady who said she crapped once a week! I felt so bad for her, she must have felt horrible, although horrible was normal to her. If you are truly interested in bowel movements there are some awesome books on colon health that you can get over at rawfood.com
If I eat a bunch of vegetables or a big salad, I'll go within a halfhour and I know it's the food I just ate because I can actually see it in the toilet. It's kind of fun.
You guys should check and see if you're eating foods with a lot of MSG. Whenever I eat something with MSG, I'm on the pot within 10 minutes, and it's not pretty. I used to always get a meatball sub at Subway, and found myself in the john 10 minutes after eating it, then I checked the ingredients and found there was MSG in the tomato sauce. I did the same thing after eating Chinese, and put two and two together. Since getting that stuff out of my diet, no more mad dashes to the shitter.
I usually go 2-3 times per day, or rarely 1 or 4 times. I can't imagine not going atleast 1 time/day.
This thread is so great. I'm pooping myself in the library just reading it. Funny yet informative. I'm sure some of you guys gotta have that problem with having to poop within 10 minutes of running if you havn't taken your daily crap. Even when dropping a load befor a run, sometimes it don't matter, my ass is still erupting 15 minutes into a run. If I don't let'er rip within a minute or so of stopping though it completely goes away, but start back up, and it gets as bad as ever. I've learned to just stop and take care of business as soon as I feel it. Trying to hold it is useless, and the longer I do, the more explosive and less solid it becomes. Sometimes I make it to the end of a long hard run on a hot day before I explode, but then my ass hole is burning the rest of the day! I'm walking around the rest of the day like I've just been severly violated and can't sit down comforbably. Is that something chemical in your poop that burns your ass hole, cuz it aint chaffage after I've stopped. Otherwise, I'm proud of being an avid pooper, it's definitely healthy.
Activly pay attention, there is no doubt your intestines are having spazem's. This is a result in the processed she'it we forcibly wedge into our very facial orifice on a daily basis. Think of it in this manner. Garbage in garbage out. Or another know anal'ogy...what goes in must come out. My stopped up friend, you must CLEAN your pooper pipes out, change your diet, and for the love of Martha, stop eating the healthy choice meals. Rabbits, yes, rabbits, have wonderfully circular poopies. You may ask why? Fresh vegies buddie Elmer. Steal them, grow them, juice them, steam them. Get em' in there to clean that sucker out. you may skwert poop for a few days, that's okay, cow's do. Bud, get some wheat grass from your local health food mrkt. drink it down, not onley will it promote great movements, but consistancy with your plumming. Also, promotes oxygen to the blood stream! Finally, do not be afraid to be reminded. If your body; no matter how screwed up it is, doesn't like something you eat, it will push it up or push it out!
Kick'en - You're not implying that humans should shit little raisin-like turds like rabbits or deer, are you? If you look in the can and it looks like a parade of chocolate covered peanuts at the bottom of the bowl, you're not eatin right.
Sink or Float? You can tell if you have it going if you take at least one good dump a day. It should be loosely formed, but a good long turd. AND IT SHOULD FLOAT!!!!
Here's the routine. Drop trou, shit, push (don't grimmace), release, stand up, look in observe a couple of 8-12" floating brown trout, smile wide, wipe ass, up trou, enjoy the day.
If it's sinkin, you need more fiber!!!
your response is correct in that all turds should be one long consistant log. To re-iterate Zipp's concerns about rabbit turds, I merely wanted to suggest the structural integrity of the pellets. A prime example of a GREEN/FIBURS diet. Both without belly acke and afterward meal dumps. The actual size would be cause for concern.
Malmo sayeth thou shalt goeth twice each day except the Sabbath, when thou shalt goeth but once.
What an odd thread - especially that part about the person who works with a woman who only craps once a week - why they hell would anyone tell someone that?
Anyway, here's the deal for me (this is an anonymous message board, so that's why I tell) - once each morning withing 15 minutes of waking; once mid morning before lunch; once mid afternoon, once between dinner and bedtime, so 4 times a day on a normal day - almost NEVER less than that, and once in a great while more than that (even if not sick).
Unlike most of you though, my shit doesn't stink.
This is the greatest thread ever;)
Ben
Like clockwork, I always take a dump right after eating lunch - not dinner or breakfast. All told, a minium of once a day and usually 2, maybe 3. Can anyone tell me why, about 5 minutes after I take a dump, I really have to take a piss?

I was always told and under the impression that this is wrong and opposite.
Sink = Good
Float = Bad
You can even research this on Google:
