Great spike. I have done 2 races in them and love them. I have tried the victory and I found them to actually be to light. The NB racer is just light enough, but holds up better on the turns and my feet don't kill after the race.
The victories they are the best spikes ever, just get them. ps. do you see any top pros wear new balance....no.
The Greatest has a good point. I want the one which is more agressive, because i run on the balls o' my feet so im not worried about my calves strength or support in the spike.
One reason i am looking into the new balances is because it said it has a carbon fiber plate at forefoot for more response, but dont know how this compares to victories plate

I'm not even going to bother listing all of the nike athletes that manhandle those runners on a daily basis. Sure, they are all really good, but with the exception of a few, nike athletes are generally better.
Yes, i after lookning at the list, i believe jack bolas ran(runs?) for UW and i know a few other. But they are no where near many elites. But you could say its because said elites get paid by nike because nike brings in more money, but then you could say that is because they make better profits, or someone could shoot back another comment
But runners aside, i just wanted to know about those particular spikes and if anyone who has worn them and give me some knowledge
*they make better products is what i meant. meaning more people would buy there stuff which could bring them more products
0/10
Victories are absolutely lighter, slimmer fit. If you are heavy on your feet, the Victories are pretty thin, so you might end up feeling beat up.
The NBs are a -great- spike, a little heavier, and (IMO) a little stiffer. I like the NBs better for athletes who are going to be doing doubles and triples at their meets too.
As for the people who are arguing what pros wear Nike vs. New Balance: They're SPONSORED! They don't get to pick what brand they wear! Puma's best sprinters are faster than Nikes best sprinters, does that mean Puma sprint spikes are better?
SUPPORT THE LITTLE GUY, GO WITH NEW BALANCE!
btw, nike doesnt have more elites running in their spikes because the elites like their spikes the most ... its because they have the most money to offer to the athletes.
I just ordered the Victories, how are they for the 5000? Am I going to kill my calves? I have been running in the Ventulas 2.
from what i have read, victories seem better and ive used them before so i know what i getting.
And as i said before couldnt you say nike has more money to offer because they make better products to which that public likes more than other brands, so they buy more nike stuff.
And what is it with all these people on every post saying it is a troll thread. Im not sure what this internet trolling game is, i just wanted to know about the spikes
Speaking as a big fan of Nike competition gear in general (spikes and flats) and someone who is not at all a fan of New Balance's trainers, I was very impressed when I saw the new spikes coming out from NB. They seem more like a serious effort at making a high quality spike, as opposed to past years where they just made a token effort and put a premium price tag on it and then scratched their head when people flocked to Nike (something I think Asics, Brooks, and Saucony still do). Nike and Adidas have always led the way in spikes in my opinion (slight edge to Nike) but the incoming NB line looks to shake things up IMHO.
