Minnesota loses 60 points from seniors alone. I doubt they will win.
2010 Big Ten indoor results
Final Team Scores
1) Minnesota, 160.50
2) Ohio State, 112.50
3) Wisconsin, 81
4) Purdue, 67
5) Iowa, 56
6) Indiana, 51
6) Penn State, 51
8) Michigan, 42
9) Michigan State, 41
10) Illinois, 40
This is what my numbers say...
Men
1. Wisconsin and Indiana, basically tied
3. Minnesota and Ohio State, basically tied
5. Penn State
6. Illinois and Iowa, basically tied
But it's possible for any of the top four to win.
Women
1. Ohio State

4. Michigan

Minnesota - will have enough in distance to not get routed. Mead is a Champion and Blankenship could bery easily go for 16 events (not including 5k if needed).
Mead wont be top 3 in ANY event. Lucky to be top 5.
Blankenship bery(?) easily make 16 events? mile, 3k.. douchiness, craptastic mustache-ness, dirty mullet-ness??
All the hype for IU and they were 6th last year makes me laugh. What place outdoors and they were at freakin home!
That is what people kept saying all XC season as well and they acquitted themselves pretty well. I for one, am not discounting them and the impact that they will have even if they do not win. Will Drouin double with the Hept as will as remain the favorite for the HJ? He did pretty well in his first one and might make that beginners surge -- however, I do not know enough to do more than raise the question.
Very quick to make an assumption about Mead and Blankenship. If i were the Big Ten, i would be a little nervous to be lined up with Mead as each week he trains he is getting that much stronger, and the fact that he hasn't lost a big ten race he has run in since his freshman year, i would be a little nervous with him lined up next to me, regardless of what he has run so far this year.
As far as blankenship goes, the guy is an absolute gamer and he will be top 3 in any event that he chooses, that I would put money on- can't wait for these people used to racing on 300 tracks quickly forget how tactically different it is, and Ben is as smart as they come with indoor tactics (just watch last years Big Ten indoor vid)
Where can I find this video?

Performance List is up:
Some interesting things from a Wisconsin stand point are no sign of Finnerty of Peacock. They also have their stud multi guy entered in the HJ and LJ.
As always there will probably be more shuffling before the heat sheets are finalized.
I remember all this chirping last year about the Gophers not winning. No Mead, blah, blah.... Wisco, Indiana, Ohio State would be way too much for the Gophs. Well, Blankenship, Rombough, and others pretty much neutralized the distance powers, and their field events absolutely destroyed the competition. No home field advantage this year, so I think they will only win by 20!! the Gophers always show for Big Tens.
P.S. The poster above is absolutely right about Mead getting into shape and Blankenship being a very savvy guy, especially indoors.
33 guys in the 5000? What's the cut-off for two sections?
Especially with 18-33 listed as NT.
Peacock hasn't raced all winter, so he must be injured. There wasn't really a spot for Finnerty in an individual event but I bet we'll see him run the 1200 or 1600 in their DMR (I bet they'll go Hatz-some 400 guy-Rucks-Finnerty). They'll score 3 high places in the 5K and then hopefully a couple of their younger guys in the 3K and mile can step up. Too bad there's no webcast of this meet, it'd be a great one to watch.
No one is hyping IU they're just giving factual information. You can also find this information where everyone else is. Give it a look...
There is no shuffling.
These are the entries.
New way of doing things.
Wisconsin 105
Indiana 99
Minn 87
OSU 80
Iowa 78
Penn State 78
Michigan 41
Illinois 40
Purdue 23
MSU 22
This will prove how awesome Minnesota is when they win by 20+!
Wow, Iowa. They have no entries in the 3k, and only Thode entered in the 5k, and he may scratch. What has happened to their distance squad in the last 5 years?
You all are looking at the number too much. Everything is all so close that there really isn't any comparison to be made. In this situation, anything can happen. Sure, MN, WI, IA, IN, and PSU are all so close that you can't (or can???) expect anything. Quit trying to predict what's going to happen and just watch the meet for what it's worth. Go Gophers!
Why isn't Loxsom from PSU running???
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
