Stanford seems to peak their guys early - in cross and track. I'd love to see Heath run 13:20 with a ridiculous kick in 2-3 months but I have a sneaking suspicion he might be slower than he was today.
yeah, i have a sneaking suspicion that you're DEAD WRONG... especially since he ran 13:29 LAST YEAR...
what's the status on riley and derrick right now?
What was his last lap?
video of this race anywhere?

13:29 in April - followed by a 14:22 21st place finish at NCAAs. Nothing against Heath - he's a huge talent but my overwhelming impression is that the Stanford guys have performed better in the early part of the season and often seem done come championship time.
Are there any videos of this race?
Thanks!
Wow, Elliott MF Heath is right, that was amazing. I can't get over it..
Just throwing this out there. Deriba Merga ran his first 5k of the RAK half marathon in 13:37 yesterday. OOF!
Anyone know why Derrick didn't run? Would hate for him to be coming off an injury second year in a row.
BOOM
deja vu
Elliot only folds when Africans are around.
crazy to watch! Like a rocket booster!
Derrick is so finished as the MAN at Stanford! He wont be able to beat Heath anymore. Another young talent has been wasted at Stanford.!! grrrrrr.
Pretty great 3000m 1-2 finish for a couple of Minnesota guys....Winona's Elliot Heath and Stillwater's Ben Blankenship. Blankenship had a great Big Ten and NCAA.
Beyond stupid.

Great night for Minnesota runners, Heath, Blankenship and Tyner!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
