Actually i dont think your words are being heeded but as least one has heard where you are coming from:)
Cram's a good example for us. He lacked the more extreme talent of Coe and Ovett yet with consistently maximising himself he rose and rose. Because of this consistency i think its a good example for anyone who thinks they lack talent.
The 800 and 1500 require a lot of speed. Cram had less of this than his other qualities for sure. Yet he could maintain close to his maximum speed for lengthy periods of time in a race. he was a well developed aerobic animal. Furthermore his posture and technique didn't break down under fatigue. I think he trained very smart and appropriately for himself. Ovett for Ovett and Coe for Coe.
800m/1500m sits between endurance and speed. Develop both and then marry the two together. The how of this is very indiosyncratic.
