men's will be posted here:
so, stanford's 3 all together right behind the leaders and their four/five just a couple seconds back.
oregon doing very well but acosta, their five, back nine seconds, so that is trouble if he does not revive as the runners really push the last 2k.
Word on the street is Dunbar pulled a big upset and took the individual title. Sick

IF you look at the splits over the course of the race, you can tell the top guys from Stanford weren't really trying.
It's like the Great Lakes with Forys getting 3rd as the Wisco and Indiana guys ran as a pack and didn't really try.
stanford's big 3 not in top 3

That's very likely true, I just have a hard time imagining the three of them letting two ducks run away from them in the last couple K.

Why? They've got bigger fish to fry next week. They're through - all that matters.
nice job by acosta after the above time check, as he wound up sixteenth.
What's up with Kipchumba way back in 54th? Is he injured?
Nice run by Cal to make it a reasonably close 3 team battle! Only 3-5 seconds off Oregon and Stanford's average times. Might be enough for a top 10 finish next week.
Will be interesting to see if Stanford's 4-5-6 can stay close enough to their top 3 next week to take the team title.
You're absolutely right. This was nothing more than a qualifying effort, like the prelims of the Olympics. Second place is as good as first.
So who makes it for the women besides the top 4?? Did Cal and UCSB both make it??
that's a change from last year, isn't it? they realized that a very hard effort at regionals might be (was?) counterproductive, whereas OSU took it easy at regionals and did fantastic at nationals.

OSU did not do fantastic at nationals. They just did less badly than Stanford.

And since when was being national champions not fantastic?
anyone know or have an informed speculation on the individuals that will be going on to nationals?
