Any time you compare times from different courses...especially from a guy that ran 2 10Ks less than week apart....the second performance is probably hindered from racing and traveling....and I doubt his vested interest in CDN nationals vs NCAA champs was the same...
However, this result from Paul Short:
5. University of Guelph
2836 9 Kyle Boorsma, Sr 24:06 4:52
2842 21 Alex Genest, Sr 24:27 4:56
2854 22 Ross Proudfoot, Fr 24:28 4:56
2838 32 Allan Brett, Sr 24:40 4:58
2850 122 Tommy Mosher, Jr 25:20 5:06
2852 174 Andrew Nixon, So 25:41 5:11
2845 182 Robert Koziarski, Sr 25:44 5:11
Total Time = 2:03:00 Total Places = 206
This is a better comparison...they lost to ranked teams from Virginia, Georgetown, William & Mary and Dartmouth (at the time...Georgetown and Dartmouth are out now). One of their guys lost their shoe...but Boorsma shouldn't count towards scoring...so Richmond & Columbia probably would have beat them if this was considered (maybe more teams). Neither of these teams are ranked.
