Subway sees Jared as the hero in this, not the miner.
Jared is going to get sandwiched in. The miner will dig deep into his reserves and come out the winner.
Jared has 2:20 half to his credit. Chilean miner has completed triathons since he was freed but I dont know what his results are. If the miner finishes the race he will beat Jared. Jared will finish.
If Jared wins, the miner has to eat Subway for a year. If the miner wins, Jared has to hang out in the mine for two months. Deal?
Rumor has it that Jared may ride the Subway to the finish.
i say worknesh kidane will beat both of these, god willing.
their both in terrible shape..its all about who has the biggest cajones
miner wins
I predict that in the end the miner will pull through. There's no way he's caving in. His training has been rock-solid. Even if he gets tunnel vision he will see his way through it.
The miner has experienced the light at the end of a deep, dark tunnel many times.
Jared has experienced the end of a foot-long many times.
Miner tunnels are long distance. A foot-long is a short distance.
Miner >>> Jared
Nice Trailblazer, that was the best comment yet on this topic! I think the miner will be able to pick his way through the field far more effectively than Jared and beat him by at least 30 minutes.
Au contraire. The mine is 700 m deep, but the opening is 800 m asl. So the miner lives high and trains low. Besides, the miner lives in the Atacama, so can handle dehydration. Miner for the win.

The serious runners altitude train before marathons. The miner went pretty much the exact opposite route, Jared for the win.
trailblazer was so close to perfection, but instead he wrote:

On top! The miner will come out on top!
Jared will win. He has a huge advantage because he has aides.

Supposedly the mining tunnels were not Rupp-Certified -> Jared FTW
I heard that instead of a gel at mile 18 Jared is going to have a foot long sub. Can anyone verify?
I heard that the miner was in a slump for quite some time, he just couldn't dig himself out of the hole; but his fitness has really surfaced over the past few weeks.

This should be hard to prove. Subway will likely film Jared the entire race. They will film him eating a foot long while running, because Jared has to do it. Expect to see this in a Subway commercial. Subway wants to make money off of Jared. That's his job.
If Jared takes the subway, the miner is up schist creek without an ore.
I officially love lets run after this thread!!! And yes I will marry it.
