ASUN men's race seems a little down this year while the women's race looks better than ever. Can the KSU men and JU women repeat? The rankings say they will.
No coach bashing...make another thread if you want to do that.

On the women's side I'd put the Lipscomb women as a favorite to win the title...big changes can happen when you bring in 15 freshmen distance women!
Just not sure how their freshmen will react when the pressure is on. Their competitions have all been on fast courses so I'm not sure of their upfront power, either. They definitely have the depth. Upstate's upfront power is unmatched, but they have trouble at the 4 & 5 spot.
Forget the times at Chile Pepper (5k looked to be 30" short)...but Lipscomb did have just a 34" 1-5 spread and the conference meet shouldn't be nearly as crazy as 50+ teams in Fayetteville...
Final Rankings out today:
M
Kennesaw State 120
Belmont 103
USC Upstate 97
UNF 91
Lipscomb 77
ETSU 57
W
Jacksonville 112
UNF 106
Lipscomb 105
USC Upstate 92
Belmont 74
Mercer 56
Kennesaw State 53
I don't really see anyone challenge KSU on the men's side but it could be a 3 way battle for second.
For the women, I think it's a battle amongst 3 teams with Lipscomb and UNF having the edge. JU can still win if their 3-5 get it together. They are capable. and upstate has no chance with their recent 4/5 performances.
30 inches short? What is that, like 1/2 of a second? Big deal. I like how people say things like Chile Pepper and Willamette are short because people run fast on them. Go to the meets, man. As for the coach bashing, that's why people come on here!

wouldn't be surprised if KSU men tank at the ASUN meet. Been known to, but still might pull it off even if they do. What in the world did Sims do to the women's program? Think they are still overrated with these last rankings. JU will win the women's, too much experience and winning is part of their culture. Who's everyone got for individual champs?
KSU women are definitely overrated still. Who has the ability to step up if the KSU men choke?
Obviously Gilbert Kemboi wins easily, 23:50

All the top teams have been running fast courses this season. That factor is pretty equal.

Can anyone beat Howe for the women's title?
There are 4 in the hunt for the women's title, Howe-KSU, Tangwar-USCU,Pierre-JU, and Kittrell-UNF. Tangwar has already beaten Howe at Louisville. It should be a classice, 2 big kickers (Pierre/Tangwar) and two front runners Kittrell/Howe.
predictions:
MEN (sorry women, I have no insight)
Kennesaw
Lipscomb
Belmont
Kennesaw runs away with it. Lipscombs #5 beats Belmont's #5 for the W.

Lipscomb doesn't have a #5

Howe will hammer it from the start. The question is whether anyone will go with her to give themselves a chance. Does Tangwar have a kick?
Howe has not been running well this season. She ran better last year and tanked at ASUN....doesn't bode well for her chances. I will say she finishes no better than 4th.

lipscomb 2nd? might be time to start looking into nursing homes, old timer.
considering my current mailing address is one of the many emeritus senior living facilities, I think I have already accomplished that. Young man, you have much to learn.
Haha, that was awesome.
