For those of you claiming Inception, you have a short memory. One word: the Matrix
For those of you claiming Paranormal Activity, three words:
Blair Witch Project.
There is no such thing as a new idea in movies, kids.

The last original movie was Seven Samurai. I'm hopeful it will not soon be remade by Quentin Tarantino.
Seven Samurai (Shichinin No Samurai) started Kurosawa's samurai series, and is the most popular of all Kurosawa's films in the West. Kurosawa has acknowledged the influence of the classic westerns of John Ford on this work, but perhaps more important was Sergei Eisenstein's The Battleship Potemkin (1925).
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Hostel. Paying people for the opportunity to kill/torture people. How cool is that?
Leonardo has been killin it!!! Inception was awesome, even if it wasn't orginal it still entertained me.
How could Hollywood have an original idea? There are no original ideas for stories out there. There are really only two stories - a man (woman) rode into town, and a man rode out of town, and those two are really the same story told from a different perspective.
Old Yeller (1957)
Two bros and a friend create a website where the running world can come to write, bitch and insult everyone. Its called "Three Men and the Babys".
From the Netflix top 100 I'd go with these as being original (as in, I can't immediately think of a movie that these movies remind me of):
The Departed
Slumdog Millionaire
Up in the Air
Seven Pounds
The Prestige
The Last King of Scotland
The Time Traveler's Wife
There Will Be Blood
I'm sure there are others on the list but I haven't seen all of them.
Inception reminded me of Dreamscape, starring Dennis Quaid: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087175/
