Hey guys. I had a fantastic first half of summer training and was more pumped about cross this fall than ever before. However, my summer work situation really hit the shitter about a month ago and has been crap all this time. Finding it hard to enjoy work and hard to escape on weekends (I have had to start working weekends as well) has really affected me. I am not the joyful person I usually am. I think this has really affected my running as well. I no longer look forward to my runs, I never really have those days when you just feel fantastic, etc. I don't think I'm overtraining either; I'm very careful with that. Really the only thing that has changed is my work life => level of happiness. Anyone else experience this? How did you deal with it? I have one week left before I head back to school, but I'd just like some input.
