"And even if he does make it, so what? He goes to the trials in 2012 and comes in 90th. Big deal."
-you are a real ass. no joke. likely a significantly slower ass at that.
Clay is a good guy. I really miss him. He's got more determination than the typical dozen runners combined. He usually aims a bit high, but I wish him the best. We'll see where he and I are a few years from now, but he'd make a great training partner. I'm a runner who's had some bad luck the past few years but am hoping to make a splash this fall, long term goals of making the trials in 2012. Maybe I'll start a blog too!
Best of luck, Clay!

Doesn't matter if he has all the determination; it's pointless without talent.
Clay will do it!

Sad but true.
Thanks Bobby Nicolls and Alex Munteferring for braggin bout dat Blog!
He's got the talent, he ran 14.16 in the 5k. If you know Clay, you'd know he's more of a distance guy too.

How is that true? If Clay goes and trains his ass off and has a lot of run and meets new friends and travels around the country doing some races, but runs 65:10, how does that "no matter?"
For that matter, if he qualifies for the Trials and does finish 90th, how does that "not matter?"

He's running in college, right? Or no?
Yeah, and it's his life, so he can do whatever the F he wants to do.
You really think a D1 coach will allow a scholarship kid on a top ranked team go run a half marathon between now and next March? Unless he's a walk-on or not in college anymore.
Because in the end, he doesn't qualify for the trials, much less the Olympic team, dipshit.
Jeff,
What are his PRs? I read on one of the posts that he has run 14:16 for 5K. This clearly shows he has the capability of breaking 1:05:00.
Nate
I agree, that kid is the biggest tool ever

This kid is a poster child for the ineptness of the Oklahoma education system.
DAMMIT CLAY STOP F***ING PRETENDING TO BE OTHER PEOPLE, JUST TO GET INTEREST IN YOUR PATHETIC THREAD. MOD, JUST DELETE THIS PIECE OF SHIT THREAD.
Nate, that is probably his only recent pr. I will ask clay.
For those of whom who say Clay isn't talented, the kid has run 14:16 and he was going for it when he ran that. he was out at the mile on pace for sub 14 and he just chased it. I think under more ideal conditions he could've run a little quicker.
Also, i can't wait for the blog post about 40 x 400, should be exciting. For those of whom who say "who the hell runs 40 x 400?" a hser who is trying to run faster and decides that its the next logical step.
New post is FINALLY up!!!
Love it!
