I will either be in the infield or sitting in a bar watching if the weather forecasts are correct.
Since I suck at picking horses, I'm looking for tips and sure winners from the LRC crowd. So, who is the sure winner Letsrun. Lets hear it.

I suck at picking horses too. Here's what I found today:
The 136th Kentucky Derby lost some luster on Sunday when likely favorite Eskendereya pulled out of the race with a left front leg injury. At the same time, however, the Derby became even more delicious for those who like to hit the windows every now and then ... Add in the fact that the top two morning line choices, Lookin At Lucky (3-1) and Sidney's Candy (5-1), drew the worst two posts -- Nos. 1 and 20, respectively -- and the strong likelihood for a sloppy track on Saturday, and racing fans have a handicapping challenge absent in most Derbies.
So then without much conviction, here are the top four selections, with morning-line odds, for the Run for the Roses.
4 Super Saver (15-1)
11 Devil May Care (10-1)
10 Paddy O'Prado (20-1)
16 Awesome Act (10-1)

Because I like the name, I'm going with Devil May Care.
A lot of the box seats are under the partial roof.
Traffic is going to be a nightmare.
I don't think that I would miss it if I had tickets.
The infield will be a quagmire--great opportunity to see young folks doing strange things in the mud. Last year, I was in a port-a-john in the infield and some dude ran atop the entire string of portable toilets. It was strange to look up into the skylight, as onlookers were throwing slices of ham and cheese loaf at this character. After he cleared the row, I noticed a slice of lunchmeat still clinging to the skylight. I love the Derby!
Which flavor of Jello will the horses be made into ?
Strawberry is my favorite. What's yours ?
I really can't stand derby. Lots of out of towners.
I recent magazine poll showed 65% of Louisvillians will be enjoying Derby at home, 25% at the track, and 10% are getting the F out of town.
Whichever horse likes it muddy. A lot of these horses also have never run on a dirt track since Churchill is the drunk uncle that won't change to synthetic.
Mint Juleps are horrible. I like my bourbon on the rocks.
Alan
This will be a good year to go watch the day's horse racing from a bar somewhere. Going to the infield would be fun but being wet all day sucks.
For the Derby I think I'm going with Line of David.
Listen I got an inside tip from my UPS man. Every pick he has ever given me has won. The horses name is Papanick. He's a mudda, his father was a mudda, his mother was a mudda.
My favorites are ice box, awesome act and lookin at lucky. I also put deans kitten, dublin and mission impazible around them in my trifectas and exactas.
Go with awesome act for the win.
PICK A MUDDER!Rainy in Kentucky.
So far on the day I have won 2 of the first 4 races. Here's to a better record for the rest of the day.
HA -- I was correct! I suck at picking horses .....
Don't pick the horses, pick the Jockeys.
I didn't know anything about these horses. I just watched Calvin Borel the whole way. 3rd win in 4 years.
He was awesome. They call him "Bo-rail". :-D
My $10 exacta finished 2-3.
My cousin picked the trifecta on his facebook page an hour before the race. Sad part is, he didn't put any money on it.

This will be my strategy next year. Calvin won 3 races yesterday and placed in race 12, the race right after the derby.
By the way, I had a $2 win on Super Saver so I had a nice little payoff. It's times like this I wish I took more risks and made it a $20 bet.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
