Not to mention Ron Mann got a very nice car from Louisville for winning Big East 2 years back. 90k right there in his "Bonus"
I'd come out of retirement for that too...
As for division two coaches Western Washington's distance is coached by a unpaid volunteer. They got 4th at xc nats on the mens side and 8th on the womens side. Head coach relies heavily on assistant to write workouts run workouts and basically run the distance squad in both xc and track.
What about states like Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama...it would be interesting to compare the salaries in the "lower cost of living states" vs. "bigger city costs" for coaches....

If that's true, it should be a felony.
I would say Pepin is well under paid if Kittley is making 228K.

Robert is doing a helluva job for the Ducks. He deserves every dollar he makes. Texas Tech matched LSU's offer 2 years ago. This year I have coached 4 Big 12 Champions, 4 Big 12 Records set this year, the high point scorer at the Big 12 Championships, the Big 12 Men's Outstanding Performer, and the Big 12 Women's and Men's Freshman of the Year. Maybe not up to Duck standards, but not a bad year so far.
all from Lubbock, Texas. obviously that gives me a leg up on Robert who has to struggle with the Hayward Field environment in a track town not even close to track town Lubbock, Texas
oh...and last year recruited and signed 2 #1 ranked high school athletes in the US. to come to track town Lubbock USA. Both are currently the number 1 ranked freshman in the NCAA (both in the top 4 NCAA in their respective events).
Here are some from Washington:
2009
Greg Metcalf, UW $110,004
Kelly Strong, UW $50,016
Raul Sheen, UW $50,004
Reedus Thurmond, UW $56,256
Pat Licari, UW $45,240
Rick Sloan, WSU $108,972
Jason Drake, WSU $63,336 (now at UW, interesting to know what he makes there now, especially in comparison to the other UW assistant coaches)
Mark MacDonald, WSU $61,620
Ellannee Richardson, WSU $56,208
Mark McGee, WSU $45,156
Kevin Adkisson, CWU $54,000
Pee Wee Halsell, WWU $52,776
Stan Kerr, EWU $52,140
Marcia Mecklenburg, EWU $52,140
Chris Zeller, EWU $30,192
Here is the entire list that I have. Feel free to email me sources of changes.
Rovelto's contract posted online with the Manhattan Mercury this past summer. Salary listed at $165k
