Employee 1 says: "I'm looking at women's senior results. Taking out Hilda Kebet and the Kenyans, Ethiopians and Bahrainian (Kenyans and Ethiopians)...
It looks like the US women went 1, 4, 5, 10 on the rest of the world. Kind of interesting.
Flanagan, Huddle, Lewy Boulet and Hastings being the US top-4.

Why is U.S. vs europe/asia world kinda interesting?
Is there some big World or Olympic competition, or Major Marathon, that excludes Africans?
USA does not take World Cross seriously. If they did they would be mixing it with the africans.Only Shalene is the one top elite runner in USA who cares about world cross. Why can Lagat/Abdi/Ritz/Hall/German or Gallen Rup focus on WXC? .Elites from the rest of the world take it seriously thats why Mo Farah,Benita Johnson etc were in there today.USA has the potential but they send 2nd rate elites to WXC and expect miracles aganist the best of East africa.
So true!!!! Just goes to show you why Kenyan and Ethiopia continue to dominate distance running as a whole, they take pride in running for their country during ANY championship. It's not very often Kenya or Ethiopia send an entire B team to a X-Country Championship and its not very often if ever (in the last 10 years) USA sends a full squad of our best middle/long distance runners.
I have said this in the past and will keep saying it. USA distance runners really need to look at WXC. They say that they want to mix it up with the East African runners on the track, and they will have limited spot here and there success, but to really compete they MUST leave the comfort of home and step to the line at WXC.
The people that will kick your butt at every major championship (the runners of East Africa) will run WXC and even a few (can you believe it) indoor races. Take a hint and follow what they do.
One of the major reasons why many of the top USA runners give for not running WXC is that it gets in the way of training. Why does WXC not get in the way of the East Africans training?
Anybody can sit at home and train hard, but until you put yourself into that red zone you will never know how you stand.
USA best middle and long track runners need to start participating in international x-country and its championshps. Every medalist and most of the top 20 go on to have pretty successful track season every year...wake up American distance running. I
I agree with the poster above, "Americans say they want to compete with the best on the track and roads" but stay away from X-Country. The very event that most Africans target just as much as the track season. Why?
Letsrun - Ebuya did not run a 13:03 in his 2nd race. It was his 2nd European race, however.
