A top 20 public school is a joke. The only publics that matter are Berkely, Virginia, North Carolina, and UCLA.

You should also ask about everyones income and penis size.
Pretty much everyone will lie, just like they normally do about their education (even though they post anonymously).
Not a lie:
Thomas Jefferson High School.
UVA.
Then, Maryland.
Just under $120000, and 7 inches.
I agree that top 20 is a bit much for prestige. Go with what you listed and add on UMichigan for sure and maybe Illinois-Urbana Champ.
Then again, do you honestly believe that anyone outside of these elite insitutions doesn't get a job?
Graduated and ran for the Zips at Akron U. Finished top in my class and now work for GE making $70 grand on my 5th year. Very little debt, bachelor, and making good money, LIFE IS GOOD and I didn't go to an Ivy.
Undergrad: Georgetown (did not run for them -- heck, wasn't running at all then). Econ/English double major
Harvard for graduate school - worked towards a PhD, didn't complete.
Harvard Law School (did graduate).
The best thing I learned at all these places -- there's a heckuva lot of idiots graduating from top schools. A top degree is not proof of intelligence.
And let the record reflect that I've never corrected someone for their grammar on this board.
Too bad Kent beats Akron EVERY time in xc.
Getting out in 1yr, then who knows?
Providence College
Indiana State, and proud of it.

Isn't that kind of like going from first place to out of the medals in the final straightaway?
Okay, now how many of you graduated in debt?
me too!
Who the hell is this?
Just a heads up on Grove City, take it for what you will. I am a mid-level manager at a fairly large company, and although I am not in HR, I am often involved in hiring decisions. There are certain schools whose graduates we will generally not hire. Grove City is one of those schools, as are many online universities. I am sure any alums of that school will scream at me for this comment, but if you are a prospective student, you should understand what you are paying for. And for the record, Ivy graduates don't get much of a bump from us, although they do tend to be stronger in areas that we do consider heavily.
Nothing worse than education snobs. People who graduate from an "elite" institution and automatically judge everyone based on what college they graduated from.
In my experience, Michigan grads are the worst. They manage to somehow work the fact that they went to Michigan within the first couple minutes of any conversation. Similar to how Puerto Ricans will always let you know they are from Peurto Rico.
You went to a good school, great, get over yourself. And yes, I went to a crappy school based on wanting to run there and I regret it. But had I gone to a better school, I would not judge solely based on their college.

I worked for a government contractor but felt, ultimately, that research left me unfulfilled. "Regret" is how I would sum up my MA at Ohio State; was lured in by the promise of a fellowship.
I live in Tempe, AZ now and am looking to go back to graduate school for Urban and Environmental Planning at ASU.
