Dipshit....he's not as old as "plenty" of seniors and who cares if he has a big training background.

I am just wondering, since there was so much talk of it in the interview, how good is Verzbicas at the Triathlon? I mean I assume he is very good, but is he a ground breaker like he is in running?
will he be class enough not to run in two years, when he should be a freshman.
Verzbicas' response is indeed a stark contrast to last year's winner, who not surprisingly showed what a 21 year old could do at a schoolboy event.
Last year's winner was not 21.

My understanding is that he's a better triathlete than he is a distance runner.
http://archive.triathlon.org/zpg/zresults-ath-dtl.php?id=MjQ3MTI=Ritz was just about turning 17 this time of year when he was a sophomore too. That's why his 13:27 as a true freshman didn't count as a National Junior 5K record.

That's incorrect. Ritzenhein was born December 30, 1982. He would have turned 17 at the end of 1999, or mid way through his junior year, seeing as he graduated in 2001.
I think it was good for him to acknowledge that he is the same age as most juniors and not sophomores.
However, whether he is soph or junior in your mind, he is still only the 2nd non-senior to win the race. Right? Even if he was attending HS as a junior, he'd still be only the 2nd non-senior to win the thing. Right? That is still a hell of an accomplishment.

I agree that it should be no big deal. I turned 16 barely a month into my sophomore year, so I'd have been in the same boat as Verzbicas (had I been nearly anywhere as good).
Frankly, I think this will become more common in the near future. My son is a 6-year-old first grader, but I can't believe the number of kids in his class who are 8 years old. Parents these days will do anything to ensure their kids' success, even if it means holding them back as long as is legally possible.

Most accurate post yet - so he was still the youngest champ ever.

Hypocrite. This guy was sucking Solomon Haile's balls, and Haile LIED about being an 18 year old, when he was as old as Verzbicas will be as a college jr. But that's different, right? PC pussy all the way, is Sir Lance.

Oh f*** you off mr change-my-name-for-every-post (obviously you are the same person posting twice).
I never said one thing about Solomon Haile one way or another. Look it up you piece of shit coward. I have no idea how old Haile is. But i like how you absolutely assume Lukas' age is correct. He came from another country too dimwit. Maybe he is lying about still being 16? Oh no, he is white, so he couldn't do that, right? You are just mad I said anything even close to negative about the next great white hope, you KKK piece of garbage.
Lukas is a monster talent. Even if he is 19 right now he will probably be a big star. I simply pointed out that there is nothing "classy" about admitting the obvious. I like him and wish him well, unlike you who seem to genuinely hate Solomon Haile, and for that matter most black people.
And if you met me in person, you'd cower like a little girl. Take that to the bank, coward.

So if you admitted that you're a douche, there would be nothing classy about it because you're just admitting the obvious. I see what you're saying.
Weak reply from "Fasty"
Interesting response from Sir, though poor form to break out "you piece of KKK garbage" yeesh.

So you call out his poor form yourself (ie you agree with me that he's a douche). How was my reply weak if you agree with me?

Fair enough, yeah a clown like that is not worth my time. But the "kkk" is in response to his trying to bring Haile into this make this a racial thing, and showing obvious hatred to Haile. I fight with a lot of guys on here who try to make every post/argument into something negative about black people, and it gets old after awhile.
Haile may or may not have lied, I was not involved in that big fight and did not care.
Lukas is a better runner for sure (even beat him last year in track). It wasn't a comparison. Lukas is nearly two years older than some runners his grade(more than people think), 1.5 years older than the average, and about 1 year older than the large majority in his grade. That is all I was pointing out.
But when you are good as him, I agree that in the big picture it doesn't matter much. He will be a star one way or another.

You are REALLY having trouble following his reasoning, Slowy McSlowington ? Or are you just coming back with another extremely weak attempt at humor?
In case it is the first one,I will break it down for you. Let's see if you can follow this Slowy . I will say it sloooowly for you:
You're little attempt at a joke at my expense was incredibly weak and fell as flat as a pancake. Yes, it was, in The Arbiter's words, "weak."
Then...... ( you still with us Slowy, or are are you asleep drooling on your shirt right about now?).....he said my reply was "interesting," however...... he thought that my calling the poster a "kkk piece of garbage" was probably over-the-top, or too much.
See how that works Slowy?? He was saying a few things in one post ( 1) your post sucked 2) my was "interesting" but a bit heated ). People do that you know.
Now come one Slowy, it's time for you to come back with some witty line like: "well, at least I am not a DOUCHE like you! (ha ha .... I really got him THAT time)."
You're taking internet posts way too seriously my friend...
There was really no attempt at humor. I was just pointing out that saying things like "if you saw me in person you'd cower like a little girl" makes you a douche. Anyway, I wouldn't try to compete with you in comedic wit. Slowy! That's comic gold!
