What a forum! No one has been on here for a while, but here is the opinion of an NCAA athlete. Chelanga is an excellent runner. He ran two excellent races. He ran hard when he lost to Rupp, he ran hard when he won in '09. The question is... will he run smart in 2010??
I bet there's 8 guys planning to draft him this fall. The only reason they didn't follow him last year is because he had lost at pre-nats, they thought he was being a rabbit again. If he is a smarter runner he will win. The 10K is too short to win without brains, the 10K is too long to win without brawn. The champ in 2010 needs both, and he will need to run sub 28:30.
P.S. It takes brains- so Rupp retains his title of course.
