Has anyone had compartment Syndrome Surgery and did it cure your shin pain?
I ask because the 3 people I know who had the surgery continue to be plagued by shin pain. This despite the fact that it is widely accepted among doctors and many in the running community that:
1) Compartment Syndrome is legitimate condition affecting runners with predictable symptoms.
2) There is a "test" for it that is considered extremely reliable.
3) The surgery has extremely high success rates at over 95%.
I want to hear from real world people if this is true or not because in the tiny non-scientific population of 3 that I know of, the surgery failed 100% of the time, a far cry from accepted medical literature.
