From the news I've heard of his life out side running, I'll say he is around 2:08 or slower. I don't see Wanjiru staying as good as he has been.
This was my first thought also. With the antics of his private life ya got to wonder if he is not doing well. However, he probably runs 2:05 on no training.
I dunno, im sure the guy parties a bit, but if he was this fall down drunk bar brawler that he has been painted as in the past month I don't think he would have made it this far. And even if he parties a bit I'm sure he has a stable of coaches, managers and sponsors working to keep him on the straight and narrow so the wins, records, medals and money keep flowing in.

He will run the fastest marathon ever on US soil. But not a WR. That's just how it is.
Without some ridiculous track session in training (where he felt comfortable - not all out) it’s impossible to predict

He will make a valiant effort at world record but will be run down in a legendary effort by Bret Schoolmeester who will cross the line in 2:05:13 and Sammy will follow in 2:05:15 with both collapsing at the end.
if the wind on sunday is anything like it was today, the time will be sloooooooooooooooooow.
gut tells me the wind won't be as bad then though.
also, if wanjiru is the boozer he's been portrayed to be here, i hope to grab a beer or twelve with him after the race; i may not outrun him, but by god i'll outdrink him!

Is he a boozer? That's kinda cool. I doubt he gets too ridiculous during serious marathon training segments.... But jeez these kenyan runners need some personality.
2:06.48, 1st place.
I don't need a world record. Just a good race.

He will go out in 1:01:27
He will come back in 1:01:32
His total time will be 2:02:59 for a world record of a minute he ran his last hard workout 9 days ago
30k in 1:25:29
a few days before that
6x1500 in 3:55, 3:52, 3:49, 3:46, 3:43, 3:38 with 2 min rest
he is in great shape nobody will stop him
he went to the marathon so quickly when he could be running 26:15 in the 10k. Just think what he would be doing if he was a senior in the NCAA right now Galen would have 0 titles, and would loose by a lap in the 10k to Wanijiru

I doubt that, because Sammy would be training in America rather than Ethiopia or Japan.
So unless he picked a D1 school near Flagstaff or Oregon he is pretty much a lesser athlete for going to school.
2:05.33
Nice f@cking attitude on the front page, Brojos.......Chicago '09 "Forget the World Record!" That's so cute and funny.
2:02:56 (61:40)-(61:16)
hello Northern Arizona, or anyways Galen didn't live in Eugene so Wanjiru could of just stayed in Kenya take online classes and travel to the US right before conference
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
