It's his sphere of influence from the far left that may prove his undoing.
In fact, this decision could ultimately do more to sever the perception of his ties to the Chicago political machine than anything else ever would have, international and diplomatic snub or not.
In the words of Anthomy Flamagetti, in his film, "run Like Hell" When his brother said he could beat Anthony in the 100 ! Haa HA HA HA AH !!!!!
Or like in Gladiator when that little imp of an emporer said "let's have 150 days of games and the people will love me"
Who does O think he is, but a laughing stock!
To be so narcistic to think he,Oprah and michelle could convince the comittee with their little whiney song and dance - He should have been here concentrating on bringing to the market place all those imaginary jobs he promised, or maybe stratagizing how he will bring our soldiers home, or "win" in Afganastan!

I love getting edited on a message board! It means people (losers) are actually constructively reading/ responding to what I have to say. Stay tuned, I'm sure they're many more typos to come...
I"ll be their 2016 see in!!! Have fun...
Gotta hand it to him, his name is good!
Of course it was Obama's fault. Give me a break! No other National Leader was there for their country. Saying.."My house is 4 blocks from the Olympic Stadium"...OMG! are you real! Imagine if Pres. Bush would have done that. Good golly, we wouldnt hear the end of it......and NO - I'm not racist.

Yea, he is nuts.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/narcissistic-personality-disorder/DS00652/DSECTION=symptomsNo, it means we're laughing at your sophomoric mistakes and comments.
I think it was that cloyingly, corny and totally embarrassing mush that Michelle Obama came out with in her, (pass the vomit bag) speech to the assembly that knocked Chicago out in the very first round.
That sort of mawkish and patently insincere sentimentality may go down well with unsophisticated American audiences, but goes down like a lead balloon to a cultured, cosmopolitan gathering.
One wonders how on earth Obama, or his advisers, got it so wrong that he let himself be so internationally humiliated.
It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the rest of the world to stick two fingers up to the global bullyboy.

No, the Olympics aren't always a good thing.
Doesn't matter now, though, as thankfully Chicago didn't make it past the first round.
The Olympics are tired. All the major sports have their own international championships.
We obviously could never agree then.
What other major sports are contested consistently by the entire planet in their own separate championships, in an event larger and more steeped in tradition than the Olympics?
The auto industry did very well last quarter, thanks to Cars for Clunkers.
Track and Field, Cross Country, Swimming, Gymnastics,
Wrestling, Judo, Karate, Basketball, Baseball, Team Handball, and many more all have international competitions.
The Olympics aren't necessary.

Yeah, the ENTIRE auto industry, not just Government Motors. And then what happened? Sales fell off a friggin cliff. Great, so now we have people having taken on more debt that they won't be able to service, we've pulled demand forward for homes and cars, which will give an artifical boost to the GDP figure that will erroneously be bandied about as successful, and we have no act two. Or, at least I hope we don't. Jonesy, you don't see what's coming, only where you think we've been.

I'm completely embarrassed. I think I might go into hiding... The truth is that the world is laughing at us. People are begging to host an Olympic games, but this board/some republicans/All Obama haters thinks it's that we join in the fight against OURSELVES! My republican co-workers can't believe this is actually a board for runners when only 53% of its users want the OLYMPIC GAMES in the USA?!?!
They are convinced this board is, quote: "full of old white guys and their sons that have lost touch on reality." "What fool doesn't want the damn Olympics at home?!"
Couldn't be stated better...
They are around my computer waiting on a great reply. Please don't let me down Letsrun!!!
You probably got your MBA from Wharton, so you'll no doubt be able to explain why private capital isn't reacting well to Obama's policy proposals, no? I can't wait to read your treatise on that.
Your co-workers are gathered around your computer waiting for a response? That's some productive company you work for. Which Dunkin Donuts is it?
"Support in Chicago for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games has dwindled, with residents now sharply divided over whether the city should host the Games, a Tribune/WGN poll has found.
Nearly as many city residents oppose Mayor Richard Daley's Olympic plans, 45 percent, as support them, 47 percent. And residents increasingly and overwhelmingly oppose using tax dollars to cover any financial shortfalls for the Games, with 84 percent disapproving of the use of public money."

You best be trollin'.
Every sport at the Olympics has their own "world championship" equilivant. And Cross country isnt in the Olympics.

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE OLYMPICS SMART GUY!!! Not Private Capital... If this was about economics then we would drop every sport in America except football, basketball, and a few baseball teams. Name 1 private business that hurts when the Olympics comes to town? Hotels, restaurants, attractions, real-estate, rentals, airlines, public transportation? Name 1 please...
Lets at least see where got your high school diploma? By the way... Where the hell is Wharton? Is that your home town community college or something???
Oh yeah, you let my co-workers down. They were expecting better...
Bet Clinton would have swung it.

France's Prime Minister was reprimanding Obama's "diplomacy" just the other day. Wonder if France had any influence?
