Bring those football track meets up north in December to play in snow, rain, sleet, and wind and see how they do. A team like Ohio State has to build to beat all the other teams in the north to get to the title games. This puts them at a disadvantage when they go play the title game in sunny 70° weather.
As for the Miami/Fla St. game, that was two average teams that were evenly matched. It wasn't that long ago those two teams were consistently in the hunt for national titles. Now both will probably have 3 losses this year.
Remember that SEC. At some point the tide will turn and another conference will stand out for a few years.
