Yeah but I really don't see any point in him moving up to the 5000m. It seems like you guys want INSTANT success and are not appreciating how much he has improved in the 1500m. Theres no reason at all for him to move up in distance this stage of his career. Plus you need strength not just speed and being a great xc runner(even though its 8k-10k) is something that will help you especially if its a grinding pace.
