Going to upgrade soon.
I am leaning towards the iPhone because the interface is iconic... But I hear the crackberries are more useful.
Thoughts, debate?
Also, the iPhone might be better for ipod touch type usage???

iPhone
if you are a guy, go with the berry. way more useful and easier to type than the iphone touch screen. blackberry message is a great tool as well. if you are female, you will like the iphone more.
Have you thought about something running the Android OS from google? I don't know much about it besides what I heard on an NPR story. Supposedly you get a lot more freedom from Apple's rigid setup and of course the locked AT&T arrangement. But I'm sure you lose a lot of the reliability that comes from that rigidity too.
This is not a simple decision based on what is better. It depends on what you do on the phone.
If you primarily send texts and email, the Blackberry would probably be best.
If you primarily use the phone for internet, play games, want to have access to thousands of cool apps, want a great music player, the iPhone is your best bet.
iPhone is not terrible for typing, but not as good as the Blackberry. Still, I text all the time, and send some emails, and I am SO happy with my iPhone. I've had mine for a little over a year and have very few complaints. I would recommend to get the extended Apple Care ($69 for an extra year) though, as Apple is great about replacing the phones if they break under normal usage.
If you just talk on your phone, get a cheap "free" phone.
