Obviously, Defar is out of shape. I bet you she will come come back with a vengeance. Good work Kenyans.

Anyone else think Jenny B might have had a scary shot of winning this race? Clearly she is capable of a 14:5X type time, and she ran a 3:59 months ago..
Her run in the steeple was good too, but I think it's time she moved up to the 5K.

Is 15:11 good for JR?
no 15:11 is nowhere near JR, Genzebe ran faster earlier this year and her sister has run much faster as a junior.

No, Jenny B would have had little to no chance and top three would have been quite a stretch - all three were well under 60 sec for thier last lap and were 30 sec+ off what they could have run. Jenny B could maybe finish around 60 sec's but that would have been very difficult as she would have been only 10 seconds or so off what she could run.
Is there a race video anywhere?
JR = Jen Rhines. She's run faster, but probably not a bad effort for her.

I agree - 5:54 or so for her last 2K and sub 9 for her last 3K is about as fast as she can go in a kickers race.
