No set answers for your question. I normally did some "pace work" on average once a week. Many of the low key races were pace work. Rest period varied, pulse rate as an indicator but not a number just learning to feel it.
My idea when making the logs available was to show one persons actual day to day and the consistent pattern over years.
I have 16 years of day to day running up there so I think that you can see the development over the years.
