I\'m a freshman girl (going to be sophomore) in high school and I\'m planning on training for xc this summer. I ran last fall and PRed at 20:15 in the 5k. Then when track came around I found out I was anemic and had a really disappointing season. I\'ve also had problems with my knee forever, the doctors said there\'s something wrong with my patella tendon so I just go to PT to try to keep it under control. I\'m planning on doing weight training 2-3 times a week to build up my strength, and also trying to build my mileage (easy) up to 35-40 miles a week. My question is how much should I be doing and how hard should I push myself as far as knee pain and anemia symptoms? Thanks for any advice you can give!
