Says "world record next time I touch the 100m" then has the most egregious false start I have ever seen. He has a lot of fast running to do if he even wants to get close to the smack he's talked.

UPDATE: it looks like his blocks slipped... still a false start though
This 90 minute TV window has gone well off the rails
There is something going on with that man. On the plus side, he's made enough money to never need to ever run again.
Yeah but even before the race went, I noted to my wife that all those blocks suck!
He might have been putting back pressure on them, then they gave a bit, and he jumped in response.
That would suck. But whatever, he was never going to do anything in this race anyway, imo
And we wonder why track has a problem becoming a mainstream sport in the USA.
Yeah I'm just hoping they start the mens 800m on time
They definitely had issues with the blocks but he also definitely false started.
Also did he leave ASICS/they dropped him? He was wearing asics kit and puma spikes?
That looked like it was intentional.
I think he did it on purpose. There was a stiff headwind. He’d probably struggle to break 10 seconds. No need to waste an effort on that.
agreed but Kerley stayed and took pictures with fans which I respect, as I'm sure he was pretty mad at the officials.
What's the chance he was required to race because it's the "Asics 100" and wasn't feeling it?!?
Other than diehard track fans, who is sitting at home watching this circus?

You are clown.
So many of the Americans start to get attention through their performances and then decide they need to be 90% yapping, 10% performances.
They seem to forget that Jakob, Noah, Sifan Hassan, Mondo, Femke get a lot of attention because every week, people can flick on some T&F and the likelihood is they can watch one of them run.
Blocks sucked again in the 200.
Ridiculous.

Yes. They parted ways.
The blocks are holding up NBC programming.
Indy Car racing fans aren’t happy that their event isn’t on.
I’m used to seeing track meets coverage getting cut when it goes long.
Kerley has been talking for over a year. Lyles just turns up and runs. 19.77 for his first 200 of the year, into a -1.6 wind is impressive.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
