Well not completely. I am a mid-fore foot striker and he says I should try to strike a little farther back, with a little heel action. I know its not good the heel-strike, but its also not good to fore-foot strike. So what's the middle ground?

I suppose you could try for the old ball-heel-ball: initial contact is low on the ball of the foot, then you lightly drop onto the heel as your bodyweight passes over the foot, then finish by toeing off--a ball/heel/ball action.
Nothing works for everyone, but that works for some.
