You might want to check into that. Not everyone born in the states seeks the citizenship that's rightfully theirs and a driver's license is useless. US officials can certainly deny entry to someone who can't PROVE that he or she is a citizen.

weak year

That is funny since the college leader going into NC's is Bethke at 13:27 and change. Maybe you should consider time of year, location, and competition...but that is just crazy talk I guess.
I don't see him running too fast this race. London was not that long ago. However, if he is focusing on Track this year I see a sub 13:10. 13:21 is my prediction for this upcoming 5k
no way he runs sub 13:10....the guy can't break 4:00 for the mile
weak post1/10.

I'm not very excited for this meet. Ritz will likely lose by 20-30 seconds. Why doesn't he just sit home and train.
I'm actually glad to see Ritz coming back to the track. Too many hard marathon efforts in a row makes for a short career. I'm guessing he opens in about 13:25 +/- 3 secs, which is about his usual debut. But, if he made a concerted effort, he could go sub-13:10 and run a heckuva 10k before his next marathon buildup. I've never been in the camp that this guy can break 13:00 (sub-12:50 is an absurd prediction on another level altogether), but sub-13:10, sub-27:20 or faster...? Absolutely.
yeah this is what he needs to do more often and I predict a 13:20 now, later i think he can go to 13:11 or 13:15.

Why is that? Do you think Ritz is a headliner?
Well, I take that back. I'm excited for every track meet. I'm just not excited that Ritz is in it. Why would you be.
Ritz ran 4:05.9 1600 his Junior year of high school all by himself at a conference meet.. I bet if he trained for a fast mile he could at least run 3:59 after all these years.

Because he'll be getting paid?
ryan hall ran 4:01 by himself at the california state meet in HS...surely he could drop 3 or 4 seconds and get to a sub 4 mile after all these years.....oh wait....

ritz ran 4:01 solo for 1600m in a workout after a 4:0x.
also ritz has tried to run fast at 5000m before and when he is ahead of schedule to break 13:15 he has a tendency to "start going backwards."

13:25 = decent time for a guy in college
All the time that I have run, and all the time I have done other sports, I have worked to be my best ... not just decent, and I never ran 13:25, it was never even really something I could shoot for.
Since I take it you have also been trying to fulfill your potential, you must have been REALLY, REALLY good? Like 13:10 I guess?
How many Americans have run 13:25 or better while a normal college age? I have a pretty long historical view of the sport and I can remember less than 10.
I would say you are Henry Rono, but I know that he isn't such a condescending douche.
i'm not henry rono.....but i'll give you a hint.....my 5000m pr is 12:46

Hall and Ritz have been training for longer distances since high school. Either of them could break 4 with specific training and a good race. They are mega talented. These are no longer the days of Roger Bannister - the sub 4 is no longer a mythical thing.
exactly my point

Ritz and Ryan Hall could run sub-4:00 in a workout, during marathon training. How many miles and 1500s have they run in the last five yrs where they came up short and ran 4:03 or 4:01? None.
Ritz has run 8:11 for two miles ... what do you think would be the result of a mile run at that time?
If you really had run 12:46 you wouldn't be putting people down (high schoolers, college and pros), you would have respect for people who are trying to get it done. You are a twat.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
